The Best of November

November is coming to an end and I can't believe there's less than a month until Christmas! This year has been such a journey for me, I'm actually glad it's coming close to an end. But before all that happens, here are some of my current loves this month.

Monochromatic Monday

It's been I while since I last updated, everything's getting pretty hectic with university apps just weeks aways. None the less, I can't let stress get the best of me. Here's a monochromatic outfit of the day, with the colour of the season maroon/oxblood (of course!).

Thank goodness it's friday! Hurricane weather has made everything so gloomy and depressing this week. Above are my recent instagram photos(@joannaaali). It's always fun to play with accessories, layers and different fabrics. The earcuff is totally tumblr inspired, a piece that's been going strong since summer. Another nice touch are collar tips, especially if they're detachable. Mine are a gift from Topshop, which can be paired with any blouse(suuuuuper versatile). Then there's the black lace tights, which I'm always reluctant to wear. Even though it's a basic colour, the pattern is a huge statement. So I wore a baggy knit sweater over a bodycon skirt to make it casual and day appropriate.
